Dr. Yu-Chung Lin (Y.C. Lin M.D.) speaks fluent Chinese, Taiwanese, and English. He received his medical degree in Kaohsiung Medical University and master degree in Behavioral Medicine in National Cheng-Kung University, Taiwan. Dr. Lin received his residency training in Chang-Gung Memorial hospital in southern Taiwan, and then in Jianan Mental Hospital, Department of Health, where he was then promoted as the director of both the department of geriatric psychiatry and in clinical research center. He also worked as a visiting scholar and researcher in both UCLA and VA health care center in west Los Angeles during 2010 ~ 2012. His research interests focused on mood disorders, social cognition of psychiatric patients, psychopharmacology, geriatric psychiatry, and schizophrenia. In Sep, 2013, Dr. Lin began to practice in his own clinic “The Psychiatric and Counseling Clinic: Y.C. Lin M.D.”, which is located in Yong-Kang District in Tainan, near National Cheng-Kung University. The clinic offers treatment for various psychiatric problems, and is suitable for foreign visitors in Tainan city, especially overseas students in NCKU to visit for consultation.
